Swede Per Hallberg won Oscar in SKYFALL sound designer

Ölänningen Per Hallberg får ta emot Sollidenpriset ur kungens hand. Per Hallberg är mannen bakom ljudet till flera storfilmer och har fått tre Oscars för ljudet till filmerna Skyfall, Braveheart och The Bourne Ultimatum.

Sollidenpriset är P4 Kalmars och Barometerns pris som varje år delas ut till någon som är ”bofast ölänning, varaktig sommarölänning eller person från annat håll som gjort bestående insats till Ölands fromma”.

En jury, vald med tanke på olika intresseområden och geografisk spridning, utser pristagaren.

I år blev det alltså Per Hallberg.
Så här ser juryns motivering ut:
"En äkta ölänning som lyckats med bedriften att erövra tre Oscarsstatyetter för sitt arbete som ljuddesigner i filmens värld.
Han försitter aldrig ett tillfälle att i offentliga sammanhang lyfta fram Öland och landskapets kvaliteter. Hans internationella framgångar gör honom till en förebild såväl i Hollywood som på Öland".

Well, nothing to be surprised about, after all – Skyfall aka the 23rd James Bond movie, has already earned $1.104 billion so far,

The 85th Academy Awards will include a tribute to the James Bond movie franchise which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, the telecast’s producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced.

"We are very happy to include a special sequence on our show saluting the Bond films on their 50th birthday. Starting with ‘Dr. No’ back in 1962, the 007 movies have become the longest-running motion picture franchise in history and a beloved global phenomenon".
