| Corgi is marking the 50th anniversary of the first ever Bond
adventure and launch of the 23rd, SKYFALL, with the release of a 1:36
scale replica model of the iconic Aston Martin DB5. The DB5 first appeared
in 1964’s GOLDFINGER and went on to appear in eight other Bond films
including THUNDERBALL in 1965 and this year’s widely anticipated
SKYFALL.
The die-cast model will be available to buy in August, priced at RRP £15.99,
but check back here soon for an exclusive Corgi competition.
Corgi has had a long association with the iconic James Bond franchise
and to mark the 50th Anniversary of the first ever Bond movie and launch
of the 23rd film, ‘SKYFALL’, Corgi is creating a 1:36 scale replica
model of the official ‘SKYFALL’ movie car, the Aston Martin DB5.
A loyal aide to Commander Bond the DB5 first appeared in the 1964 movie
‘Goldfinger’ and went on to appear in eight other movies including the
1965 film ‘Thunderball’, and this year’s ‘SKYFALL’ movie.
The world famous DB5 recently topped a poll as ‘the most treasured
object of the James Bond film series’, ahead of Oddjob’s deadly bowler
hat and “shaken-not stirred” martinis.
