Bérénice Marlohe - Bond girl Severin in SKYFALL

Bérénice Marlohe (born 19 May 1979 in Paris,
France) is a French actress. Marlohe will play Bond girl "Sévérine"
in the twenty-third James Bond film, Skyfall,
set for release in 2012.
Her television credits include Père et Maire, Femmes de loi, and Equipe médicale d’urgence. She is currently] filming the French comedy Un bonheur n'arrive jamais seul with Sophie Marceau (a former Bond girl herself). She is also a brand ambassador for Omega Watches. Bérénice is of mixed descent, daughter to a French mother and a Cambodian, half Chinese father. Her mother is a teacher and her father a doctor. She originally held aspirations of becoming pianist, as well as an artist, studying at the prestigious French arts school Conservatoire de Paris for ten years. She had trouble getting on screen roles in France because people did not think she fit the mould of a French actress. Before Bond, her roles were primarily rooted in small roles on French TV. She is known to be a strong believer in fate. During an interview, she claimed to have dreamt of acting along side Javier Bardem, six months before the Bond audition. After the dream, she knew that everything would be fine. It wasn't until the second audition for Skyfall that someone actually mentioned to her that Javier might also be cast hdailymail.Berenice-Marlohe-strip-SkyFall.html

Skyfall siren poses in lacy lingerie as she talks her ideal
man...
Bérénice admitted: "He doesn’t need to be handsome. If he has nothing to say or he is not funny or doesn’t have something happening in his eye, then he is not attractive. Charisma and sense of humour is what gives him that ‘wow’, you know?" The 33-year old - who also sported wet-look underwear for the racy spread in the lads mag - also confessed that she enjoyed portraying Bond girl Séverine in Skyfall as she was able to be sexy, as well as dark. Bérénice explained: "She is mysterious: good, evil, adventurous. I had to give her a lot of substance and charisma, and the sexiness came from that." While she may have loved playing Séverine, the actress went on to admit that she would also like to take on the role of Batman villain The Joker if the chance ever came up as she's "always dreamed" of being the bad guy on the big screen. Marlohe claimed: "I would love to be the Joker in the next Batman. I’ve done a reel where I’ve played the Joker. The kind of roles I really enjoy most of all are given to men usually. "Like Gary Oldman in The Firm. He was so great in that, and that’s the kind of character I like – a bit crazy and intense on screen." She added: "I have always dreamed of being the bad guys in the movie. You know, the mafia chief. That would be my dream." The full interview appears in this month’s FHM, on sale now. Marlohe is the Newest Omega’s Ambassador The renowned Swiss watchmaker that has built the reputation of favorite James Bond’s watch brand appointed a French actress, Bérénice Marlohe, as the newest brand ambassador. The Eurasian beauty plays glamorous and enigmatic Severin in the 23rd Bond film Skyfall, alongside with Daniel Craig who has already deserved the place in the first line of Omega’s ambassadors, by promoting the brand’s watches in his roles of the world’s most famous secret agent.
Bond Girl Bérénice Marlohe is the Newest Omega’s Ambassador review was published on Watchalyzer on June 18, 2012 |
Bérénice Marlohe was promoted as the brand’s latest
ambassador at the opening of the new Omega’s boutique in Venice. The
French actress was speaking about the most important acting role in her
carrier, rather than about her new role in the Omega’s family. Thus, we
still do not know which models Bérénice Marlohe will promote. Since her
partner in the movie Skyfall, Daniel Craig, wears the Seamaster
Planet Ocean 600m in each of his three Bond movies (read the
reviews of the new
James Bond’s Seamaster Planet Ocean Skyfall watch and Omega Bond 007
Watches), it would not be a surprise seeing glamorous Bérénice
with some of luxurious sporty watches from the Ladies’
Seamaster Collection.![]() Bérénice Marlohe in Venice for Omega Boutique Opening This is not the first time that the Bond girl is connected with the famous Swiss brand. Caterina Murino showed up in Casino Royale with a blue Omega’s model, while Olga Kurylenko formally promoted the Seamaster Planet Ocean James Bond Watch that Daniel Craig wore in Quantum of Solace. Since these are men’s timepieces, it would be nice to see the first ladies’ Omega in a Bond film.
Speaking about her role of Séverine in the James Bond film to be released in November, Bérénice said that she had been described by writers and director as glamorous and enigmatic. “For me, enigmatic is very important because I wanted to create a character that couldn’t be stereotyped. It should not be obvious immediately what kind of person she is”, said Ms Marlohe. “Daniel Craig has added something special with James Bond – he’s both tough and vulnerable and it’s not always clear what he’s thinking. I want to do the same thing with Séverine – she’s not just on the screen to be saved by Bond.”
