host a Smirnoff vodka promotion in travel-retail during the month of
October around the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace A limited-edition Bond-themed cocktail shaker encasing a 70cl bottle of Smirnoff Black will be on offer at participating airport stores worldwide Diageo
GTME marketing director Nick Robinson said: “James Bond and Quantum of
Solace provide the ideal opportunity to reach our key target market and
enhance perceptions of the brand. Inspired by Quantum of Solace, The Quantum of Solace and The Black Martini are the newest Smirnoff cocktails.

JAMES BOND’s next outing, in Quantum of Solace, will be
backed by a £50m advertising campaign from the companies whose products
will appear in the movie. The Bond franchise has long been a favourite
with brands, but 007 - now Daniel Craig, pictured above with co-star Olga
Kurylenko - has become more choosy about who he does business with. Inspired by QUANTUM OF SOLACE, SMIRNOFF has created three new drinks to update the character's namesake cocktail -- The Vesper, the 007 Shaken Not Stirred Martini and the Quantum of Solace are the newest SMIRNOFF cocktails designed to capture the essence of Bond's vodka of choice. Shaken, not stirred, and always in control. Please drink responsibly. The companies lined up for Quantum are Ford, Heineken, Omega, Smirnoff, Sony and Virgin Atlantic. The metallic gold Ford Ka driven by Kurylenko will become generally available in November and the Sony Ericsson C902 Cybershot mobile phone will also be launched when the picture is released. Smirnoff has the longest history with Bond. The Diageo-owned brand appeared in 1962’s Dr No, although the secret agent did have a brief fling with rival Finlandia. Did you know?

The new display features the current stars of the Bond franchise in a mock-up of M's office, with Dame Judi as the spymaster casting a watchful eye over 007. For the next two weeks, in the run-up to the release of the latest Bond movie Quantum Of Solace, visitors stepping into the room will trigger a security alert and be questioned by actors playing MI6 counter-espionage officers. If they get "security clearance" they will be allowed to hunt for clues on a "smart table" in front of M. Craig is the third James Bond actor to be shown at Madame Tussauds, after Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan. Despite the excitement generated by his tight swimming trunks in Casino Royale, Tussauds' model makers decided to dress him in a tuxedo, made by Tom Ford. Dame Judi donated the tailored suit she wore in Casino Royale. Both actors attended separate sittings at Tussaud's Acton studios to be measured up for their £150,000 models.
