James Bond 007 museum with original
materials from the James Bond movies
We look for 5 partners/countries for a project of 3 years in Culture
2000.
The subject is James Bond and Ian Fleming. Most of us know Ian Fleming as
the writer of James Bond but he had a far more exciting life worth illuminate.
He worked at the secret service of United Kingdom and he also participated in
the Spanish civil war.
In this project we want to create a movable museum with original
materials from the James Bond movies. The centre will be placed in southeast of
Sweden, in small town named Nybro. The museum shall have several sections like
an exhibition of Bond-movies, biography section, movies, play station and more.
A new kind of meeting centre will take place.
The history of the 20th century will come close and you are
supposed to find much about the 1st and the 2nd world war
and also documentation from the Spanish civil war. The museum shall be
attractive for every age and therefore suited thereby. All the different parts
of the museum are supposed to be movable and this makes that the museum will get
a high availability.
BACKGROUND
Although Agent 007 James Bond is famous worldwide and, as a movie
character, a living legend there is no James Bond museum. Not in Europe nor
elsewhere in the world.
Ian Fleming was more than a writer of James Bond. He was a British spy
during the second world war and he did participated in the Spanish civil war.
There is a huge interest in creating a 007-museum in an every age spectra.
This museum will show the 20th centuries history in a modern
way under the headline of James Bond and Ian Fleming.

for authors who have written about 1st and 2nd world war. Spanish civil war, biographies,
important events from this period ……
- Travels between the
participating countries for planning and creating this project from start to
goal.
- A movable museum.
- A building for the
museum in each country.
- James Bond-club for
all ages
c. We need a administration and a
reference group
d. Our goal is to create:
- A 007-museum with movable divisions.
- An experimental way to learn the history of the 20th century.
- Establish a stable teamwork between the partner countries for the
future.

Language: We will communicate in
English.
f. When project is over
- A permanent centre in Nybro, Sweden, and divisions are built in the
partner countries.
- During the project period we have created attractive museums which have
their own income from: visitors, film, music, café, internet café, James
Bond-fan club, sponsors.
g. Work
At the end of this project we can see that there has been a new job
created for several people in all the participating countries.
Co-operation
It is not only the team of the project that will stay in contact with
each other. People in different ages with the same interest will be in touch
with each other by mail or playing games or be part of the different kinds of
James Bond/Ian Fleming-competition over the internet. The project has encouraged
them to visit each other.
Tourism
With this project we have built and created a new kind of place to meet,
and also a place for every age to be. Hopefully there will be new visitors, not
used to be at a museum, because of several popular and exciting subjects.
